To integrate USPS tracking with LateShipment.com, you’ll need to generate a USPS V2 API Key. Follow the steps below to complete the process:
Step 1: Register for USPS Web Tools
Go to the USPS Web Tools Registration page.
Fill out the registration form and click Submit.
Step 2: Receive Web Tools Credentials
After submitting the form, you will receive your Web Tools USERID and Web Tools Password via email.
Save these details for later use.
Step 3: Set Up Your Mailer ID (MID)
Go to the USPS Mailer ID page.
Click Sign in to BCG (Business Customer Gateway).
Copy and save your Mailer ID (MID).
Step 4: Submit Package Tracking Access Request
Visit the USPS Web Tools Inquiry page.
Enter your Web Tools USERID (from your email).
Select:
Tracking APIs
Access for Tracking APIs
In the Additional Information text box, provide the following details:
Web Tools USERID:
Mailer ID (MID):
Company Name:
Company Website:
Requester First and Last Name:
Requester Email:
Requester Phone Number:
Mailing Address:
Mailing City:
Mailing State:
Mailing Zip Code:
Web Tools Registration Date:
API Access Requested: Package Tracking (API=TrackV2)
Anticipated Volume: (daily, weekly, monthly, or annually)
Shipping done with USPS: Please describe
Additional Information: I want to track my shipments
Click Next.
Step 5: Confirm and Submit
Provide your contact information and click Next.
Review your details carefully and click Submit.
Copy and save your Service Request Number for reference.
Step 6: Share Your Credentials
Once completed, please share the following details with your account manager or email them to support@lateshipment.com:
Web Tools USERID
Web Tools Password
Mailer ID (MID)
Tip: Make sure you keep a secure copy of your credentials. This information is required to enable USPS package tracking in your LateShipment.com account.
