How to Generate Royal Mail API Credentials

To enable shipment tracking through Royal Mail on your LateShipment.com dashboard, you’ll need to register on the Royal Mail Developer Portal and subscribe to their Tracking API. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Create an Account on the Royal Mail Developer Portal

  1. Navigate to the Royal Mail API Developer Portal.

  2. Click on “Create Account” and complete the registration form with your business details.

  3. Once registered, log in to access the API tools and dashboard.

Step 2: Explore the API Library

  1. After logging in, go to the API Library section.

  2. Locate the API titled:
     “Royal Mail Tracking (for Server-side app) v2 REST API”

  3. Click on the API to view its documentation, available endpoints, and usage details.

Step 3: Subscribe to the Tracking API

  1. On the API detail page, click “Get access” or “Subscribe”.

  2. Fill out the required information about:

    • Your application

    • Intended usage of the API

  3. Submit the subscription request for review.

     Approval is typically granted within a few business days (usually under a week).


Step 4: Obtain Your API Credentials

Once your subscription is approved:
